MUSCAT – The authority reported that heavy rain and storm activity are likely in Al Batinah North, Al Batinah South, Musandam, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, and parts of southern and central governorates, while the probability of storms is lower in Al Wusta Governorate.
Authorities cautioned that the weather could bring scattered heavy rainfall, occasional hail, strong gusty winds, reduced visibility, and hazardous currents in wadis. Moderate sea activity is also expected along coastal areas.
The Civil Aviation Authority outlined a timeline showing that the weather system began on Saturday, March 21, intensified over the weekend, and will peak on Tuesday, March 24. Impacts are expected to gradually subside from Wednesday, March 25, with normal conditions returning by Friday, March 27.
