BENGALURU : The Karnataka government has approved the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches to be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium for the 2026 season, allowing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to play at their home ground.
Officials confirmed that safety measures have been reviewed and enhanced to ensure a secure environment for fans. Stadium authorities have also upgraded crowd management systems and emergency response protocols to handle large gatherings during high-profile matches.
The return of IPL games to Bengaluru is expected to boost local tourism and business, with hotels, restaurants, and transport services preparing for increased demand. Fans are eagerly anticipating live matches, after restrictions in the previous season limited attendance.
