MUSCAT – The initiative, aimed at enhancing sustainability and organised ecotourism in the marine protected area, seeks a qualified operator with proven experience in managing environmental projects or sensitive marine sites to implement advanced marine reserve management practices.
Key objectives include preserving the reserve’s ecological and aesthetic value, regulating marine activities within approved carrying capacity, and developing environmental sustainability projects such as artificial reefs, underwater awareness museums, clean energy solutions, and eco-friendly infrastructure.
Applicants must submit a comprehensive operation and management plan in line with the Environment Authority’s requirements and comply with all environmental legislation in the Sultanate of Oman. Proposals will be evaluated on technical, structural, and financial criteria to ensure the selection of the most efficient and sustainable operator for the reserve.
