MUSCAT – In a statement issued in coordination with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Royal Oman Police, the ministry said a range of streamlined procedures and logistical facilities have been put in place to ensure the smooth flow of commercial activity and improve the efficiency of supply chains linking Oman with neighbouring GCC countries.
Officials said the measures are designed to accelerate response to transport and supply requirements, while strengthening trade movement through Omani ports and land routes.
Among the key facilities introduced is the ease of entry for empty land transport vehicles from GCC countries into Oman to load goods for onward transport. Transport operators can also submit applications through the Bayan System, which enables faster and simplified procedures for processing logistics requests.
The ministry noted that the initiatives highlight the growing importance of transit transport in facilitating the movement of goods from Oman to Gulf and regional markets.
Authorities said the measures are expected to enhance shipping efficiency, support the continuity of supply chains and reinforce Oman’s role as a reliable logistics corridor and trade gateway in the region.
