MUSCAT : In a public appeal, the department encouraged organisations and institutions to partner in hosting donation drives from March 15 to March 18, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen blood reserves and promote community.
According to the department, entities wishing to host campaigns are requested to coordinate with the Donor Affairs Section to reserve suitable dates and ensure proper organisation of the drives.
The department outlined campaign timings to facilitate participation. Evening campaigns will be held from 8 pm to 11 pm, while morning campaigns for private-sector participants who are not fasting will run from 9 am to 1 pm.
Officials said the initiative aims to encourage wider community engagement and maintain adequate blood supplies to meet the needs of hospitals and patients across the country.
