MUSCAT : Omani security authorities have urged citizens and residents to immediately report any sightings of drones or similar objects in the country’s airspace or near vital facilities, as part of efforts to strengthen public safety and security.
In a public advisory issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), authorities called on the community to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by promptly notifying officials if any suspicious aerial objects are observed.
The statement said individuals who notice drones or similar objects should report them directly through the dedicated WhatsApp number (77720078). Authorities asked members of the public to include the exact location of the sighting and attach a photo if possible to help facilitate a rapid response and necessary follow-up measures.

Security officials emphasised that community cooperation plays a critical role in enhancing public safety, particularly during periods when authorities are closely monitoring airspace activity.
At the same time, the advisory cautioned the public not to circulate or share photos or videos of such sightings on social media or messaging platforms, warning that doing so could interfere with security procedures and official investigations.
