MUSCAT — Oman’s Ministry of Information has called on all media outlets, digital platforms and social media users to exercise responsibility in publishing content amid rapidly evolving regional developments.
In an official statement, the Ministry urged news platforms, electronic accounts and individuals to adhere to the national interest when sharing information, stressing the importance of obtaining news and updates from official sources only.
The Ministry warned against circulating rumours or unverified information, and cautioned against publishing images or video clips from unofficial sources. It also emphasised the need to avoid any content that could cause panic or stir public concern in relation to ongoing events.
