MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday held telephone calls with British Prime Minister, Algerian President and the President of the European Commission to discuss the escalating military situation in the region and its wider implications, Oman’s state news agency reported.
During the separate calls, the leaders exchanged views on the recent surge in military tensions and the serious repercussions for regional and global security, according to a statement.
The discussions underscored the importance of intensifying international efforts to halt the exchange of strikes and prevent further escalation.
