MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held separate telephone calls with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II to discuss the escalating military situation in the region, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported on Sunday.
During the calls, the leaders reviewed developments following the Israeli-American strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran and the resulting regional tensions, according to the official statement.
The discussions focused on the repercussions of the escalation on regional and global security and stability.

The three leaders stressed the urgent need to halt the ongoing bombardment and prevent further military confrontation, ONA said. They also underscored the importance of returning to dialogue and diplomatic channels to defuse tensions and safeguard peace in the region.
