MUSCAT — Oman’s low-cost carrier SalamAir has announced the temporary suspension of all its international flights, as well as services to Masirah Island, for a period of 24 hours starting February 28, 2026, citing ongoing regional developments.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the airline said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure in light of the evolving situation in the region.
“Due to the current developments in the region, SalamAir regrets to inform its valued passengers of the cancellation of all international flights, in addition to flights to Masirah Island, over the next 24 hours starting February 28, 2026,” the airline said.

SalamAir stressed that the safety and security of its passengers and crew remain its highest priority, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the sudden suspension.
The airline said its teams are closely monitoring developments and are working to resume operations as soon as possible, while ensuring the highest standards of safety and security.
Passengers have been advised to check the updates section on the airline’s website, SalamAir.com, for the latest information regarding their flights. The carrier also provided contact details for customer support, including a 24-hour call centre number and email assistance.
SalamAir said it will directly contact all affected passengers to assist with necessary travel arrangements.
The suspension comes amid heightened regional tensions that have prompted several airlines to review schedules and adjust operations as a precaution.
