MUSCAT — Oman’s Foreign Minister His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi said on Saturday that active and serious negotiations had been undermined amid escalating tensions, warning that further escalation would not serve the interests of the United States or global peace.
“I am dismayed. Active and serious negotiations have yet again been undermined,” Albusaidi said in a post on X.
He added that “neither the interests of the United States nor the cause of global peace are well served by this,” expressing concern over the humanitarian consequences of the unfolding crisis.

“And I pray for the innocents who will suffer,” he said.
Albusaidi also urged Washington to avoid becoming more deeply involved in the conflict. “I urge the United States not to get sucked in further. This is not your war,” he wrote.
Oman has long positioned itself as a mediator in regional disputes and has played a role in facilitating dialogue between rival parties in the Middle East. The minister’s remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and military activity that have raised fears of broader confrontation.
