KUWAIT – A drone targeted Kuwait International Airport, causing minor injuries to a number of workers and limited material damage to the passenger Terminal 1 building, the Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority said on Saturday.
In a statement, the authority said the incident resulted in light injuries among several workers at the airport, while parts of the T1 passenger building sustained limited damage.
Competent authorities immediately implemented approved emergency procedures, the statement said, adding that the situation was handled swiftly and the site was secured.

Evaluation and mitigation efforts are currently under way, alongside the reorganisation of operational processes in line with the highest safety standards, the authority said.
