MUSCAT : Oman’s Foreign Minister held a telephone conversation with Switzerland’s Foreign Minister to discuss ongoing mediation efforts related to the Iranian-U.S. negotiations, according to a statement carried by Oman News Agency.
The call took place between His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, and Ignazio Cassis, Switzerland’s Federal Councillor and head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
During the discussion, the two officials reviewed the mediation efforts currently under way and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint work in a manner that serves mutual interests and supports regional stability.

They stressed the importance of sustained dialogue and constructive engagement to help enhance regional security and create favourable conditions for progress.
Oman has long played a mediating role in regional and international disputes, including facilitating indirect talks between Tehran and Washington, while Switzerland represents U.S. interests in Iran.
