GENEVA – Oman’s foreign minister met his Iranian counterpart in Geneva to discuss preparations for the second round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, according to a statement.
The two ministers reviewed arrangements for the upcoming negotiations and underscored the importance of fostering understanding and consensus to help pave the way for an agreement that addresses the goals and aspirations of the parties involved.
Oman has played a mediating role in facilitating dialogue between Tehran and Washington in recent years, as efforts continue to ease tensions and revive diplomatic engagement.
