MUSCAT : The program focuses on practical and applied training designed to address real-world challenges faced by industry professionals. Through specialized content, it aims to develop both technical and administrative skills among employees, ultimately improving project management processes and elevating the quality of project outcomes.

To ensure wide accessibility, the program will be delivered in person across several states, including Muscat, Nizwa, and Sohar, while also offering remote participation options. This blended approach is intended to expand participation opportunities for workers and stakeholders across various governorates.

Implemented under the supervision of the Ministry, the initiative is being carried out in cooperation with the “E-Building” platform, alongside the participation of several construction companies and suppliers. These entities will contribute practical insights and share best practices in building materials and quality implementation, fostering a collaborative learning environment grounded in industry expertise.

The program is designed to empower national talent and raise professionalism within the construction sector. It aims to improve project quality, reduce risks and execution challenges, and support the long-term sustainability of the industry, thereby strengthening its contribution to Oman’s economic development.

Advisor Shahswar Al Balushi, Advisor to the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Construction and Engineering Consulting, affirmed that organizing specialized technical training programs and workshops reflects the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to advancing the sector’s efficiency. He noted that such initiatives play a critical role in empowering Omani contractors, enhancing their professional and institutional capabilities, and supporting the growth and sustainability of their companies. He further highlighted that improving competencies will help reduce hidden structural defects and ensure higher-quality final outputs.

Hussein bin Mashhour Al-Asfoor, CEO of the “E-Building” platform, stated that the program aims to raise the efficiency of the construction sector by integrating digital technologies and promoting best professional practices. Through practical and applied training, the initiative will address knowledge gaps among contracting company owners and employees, develop their technical and administrative skills, and enhance overall project management efficiency.

He added that the “E-Building” platform plays a key role in connecting national companies with professional expertise, while delivering digital solutions that advance the construction sector and reinforce its sustainability in line with the country’s broader economic development objectives.
