MUSCAT : Signed in cooperation with the Directorate General of Agricultural and Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources in the governorate, the agreements represent a total investment exceeding RO 750,000 and cover more than 120 acres of land. The projects are aimed at supporting food security, promoting productive sectors, and enhancing sustainable economic growth.
The agreements include four small and medium enterprises holding the Riyada card, underscoring support for entrepreneurship and local businesses. Collectively, the projects are expected to enhance agricultural and food production, ensure optimal land use, improve the efficiency of food supply chains, add value to the local economy, and create new job opportunities in line with sustainable development goals.
Engineer Ahmed bin Saud Al-Kamyani, Director General of Housing and Urban Planning in South Al Batinah Governorate, said the projects reflect the authorities’ commitment to strengthening partnerships with the private sector. He noted that additional investment opportunities will continue to be offered in 2026 through the “Tatweer” platform, supporting the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and reinforcing food security in the Sultanate of Oman.

Al-Kamyani added that ongoing cooperation with the Directorate General of Agricultural and Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources has helped create an attractive investment environment and ensured the selection of high-quality projects aligned with the governorate’s agricultural capabilities and resources.
