MUSCAT : The initiative focuses on empowering rural women economically and improving their standard of living by introducing modern production technologies and enabling better use of surplus agricultural and animal products. By adding local value and ensuring year-round utilization beyond seasonal cycles, the project seeks to enhance sustainability and income generation at the community level.
As part of the programme, beneficiaries received a comprehensive set of modern equipment, including spice and coffee grinding machines, natural oil presses, electric honey extractors, vacuum and date packaging machines, egg incubators, cow milking machines, butter sorting units, and nut butter extraction machines.
The new machinery is expected to significantly raise production efficiency, improve the quality of finished products, and reduce operational costs. Modern packaging technologies will also help extend product shelf life, enabling locally produced goods to compete more effectively in domestic markets.
