Omani student wins prestigious award in Ireland

Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland honours Ghada Al-Murshidi with Dr Tom Lynch Award for clinical excellence.

MUSCAT : Ghada bint Abdul Sattar bin Mohammed Al-Murshidi, an Omani student, has secured first place in the clinical component of the final professional examination in psychiatry, earning the prestigious Dr Tom Lynch Award from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

The award recognises outstanding performance in the clinical assessment of the final professional psychiatry examination, highlighting Al-Murshidi’s excellence and competence in mental health practice.

The Cultural Attaché’s Office of the Sultanate of Oman in London congratulated the student on her achievement, describing it as a reflection of the high calibre of Omani students studying abroad and their ability to excel in leading international institutions.

The office said it takes pride in the accomplishments of Omani students in the United Kingdom and Ireland, wishing them continued success and academic progress in their professional journeys.
