MUSCAT : The campaign is carried out in cooperation with several government entities, including municipal directorate branches, the Departments of Agricultural Development and Water Resources in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, the Social Protection Fund, health centres in the wilayats, and the Environment Department. It targets remote areas in a number of wilayats, with the objective of strengthening community awareness and promoting institutional integration in serving the public.
The campaign focuses on introducing consumers to the roles and competencies of the Consumer Protection Authority, as well as raising awareness of consumer rights and obligations. It also includes an exhibition showcasing non-compliant goods withdrawn from markets for violating the Consumer Protection Law and its Executive Regulations.
In addition, the campaign highlights the social benefits provided by the Social Protection Fund, promotes awareness on proper tree care and animal immunization, emphasizes the importance of premarital medical examinations, and introduces the roles and services of municipalities in supporting community development.
This campaign comes as part of ongoing joint efforts to enhance community awareness, achieve sustainable development, and underscore the importance of institutional partnerships in delivering awareness messages and government services to all segments of society, thereby contributing to the public interest.
