Hong Kong: The Chamber’s participation forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the global presence of Oman’s private sector, explore international investment opportunities, and build strategic partnerships with financial institutions and global companies. It also aimed to promote investment opportunities and promising sectors in the Sultanate, which are set to be highlighted at the upcoming Sohar Investment Forum scheduled for next week. These efforts align with the goals of Oman Vision 2040, particularly in diversifying the economic base and attracting quality investments.

Engineer Saeed bin Ali Al-Abri, member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Chairman of the Chamber’s North Al Batinah branch, and head of the Omani delegation, said the forum comes at a critical time as the global economy undergoes rapid structural transformations reshaping finance, investment, and sustainable growth. He noted that this year’s theme, “Money Enables Business,” reflects a shift in the role of finance from a traditional funding mechanism to a strategic driver of innovation, resilience, and value creation across global supply chains—an approach closely aligned with Oman Vision 2040.

Al-Abri also praised Hong Kong’s pivotal role as a global financial hub linking Asia with international markets, offering an advanced environment for investment flows, financial market development, and future economic trend-setting. He said the forum provides a vital platform for dialogue, exchange of expertise, and exploration of global financial and investment cooperation. The wide range of topics, including global economic forecasts, trade finance, supply chains, financial technology, and wealth management, creates strong opportunities for building knowledge-based partnerships and enhancing integration between capital and productive sectors.

The forum featured high-level sessions addressing key issues such as global economic outlooks, asset and wealth management, supply chain finance, green finance, and gold market development, alongside specialised discussions on financial innovation, emerging technologies, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in the financial sector.
