ABU DHABI : The United Arab Emirates will not allow its airspace, land or territorial waters to be used for any attacks against Iran, the country’s foreign ministry said on Monday, as regional tensions remain high.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the UAE would also not permit the use of its territory for logistical or operational support for any military action targeting Iran.

The ministry reiterated the UAE’s commitment to principles of good neighbourliness, respect for national sovereignty and adherence to international law, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving disputes.

The statement comes amid heightened security concerns in the region following escalating tensions involving Iran and its regional adversaries.

The UAE has repeatedly called for de-escalation and warned against actions that could further destabilise the Middle East, the ministry said.
