MUSCAT : With this agreement, Oman becomes part of an international framework that promotes safe and sustainable activities on the Moon and beyond.
To date, 60 countries have signed the Artemis Accords, reflecting a shared vision for a safe and sustainable future in space.
“This step strengthens Oman’s position on the global map of scientific and technological advancement and opens new horizons for youth and researchers in space sciences and future applications,” stated the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
Commenting on the development, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said: “From Earth to the Moon and beyond, exploration is stronger when nations move forward together. On Monday, we welcome Oman to the Artemis Accords. Together, we’re laying the foundation for a sustained human presence on the Moon and the historic missions that follow.”
