MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the Supreme Commander has issued a special royal pardon to 334 inmates convicted in various cases, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
ROP said the beneficiaries of the pardon include both Omani citizens and foreign nationals.
The royal pardon coincides with January 11, marking the anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne, and reflects consideration for the humanitarian and social circumstances of the inmates’ families, the statement added.
