MUSCAT : The Ministry announced that the International Science Council, in collaboration with UNESCO, is inviting nominations for the tenth edition of the prestigious UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize, which recognises outstanding scientific projects and activities by individuals, institutions, and non-governmental organizations that advance research in the life sciences. Nominations must be submitted by March 31, 2026. Further information, including the statutes of the Prize and an explanatory note on the nomination process, can be accessed via the QR code provided.
In a related announcement, the International Science Council, together with the World Health Organization, is seeking high-level experts to serve as members of the WHO Science Council. WHO welcomes expressions of interest from scientists and public health professionals working in areas relevant to the organization’s mission and the work of the Science Council. Detailed information, including the Terms of Reference, is available through the QR code. The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is 16 January 2026.
