Muscat — Oman has approved a new schedule of fees related to citizenship applications and nationality-related requests, according to details published in the Official Gazette.

Under the updated regulations, the fee for submitting an application to obtain Omani citizenship has been set at RO600. The same fee will apply to applications for Omani citizenship submitted by foreign women married to Omani nationals, widows or divorced spouses of Omanis, as well as minor children of Omani women.

The decision also sets a fee of RO200 for requests related to the withdrawal or relinquishment of Omani nationality.

The new fee structure comes into effect from January 4, 2026, and is part of ongoing efforts to standardise administrative procedures related to nationality services.

Authorities have not indicated any changes to eligibility criteria, stressing that the decision applies solely to application and service fees.
