Muscat — Oman has established a General Directorate for Integrity and Anti-Corruption under the authority of the head of the State Audit Institution, according to an official decree published on Sunday.
The newly formed directorate will be supported by four additional departments reporting to it, covering planning and development, administrative and financial affairs, legal matters, and oversight of defence and security units, the decree said.
The move is aimed at strengthening institutional integrity, enhancing accountability and reinforcing oversight mechanisms across government entities, particularly in areas related to public finances, administration and national security.
