MUSCAT: Oman’s Ministry of Health inaugurated the Al-Suwaiq Reference Hospital, a major healthcare project developed at a total cost exceeding RO 75 million, marking a significant boost to public healthcare infrastructure in the Sultanate.
Located in the North Al Batinah Governorate, the hospital is set to expand access to advanced and specialised medical services for residents of the wilayat and surrounding areas. The new facility is expected to ease pressure on existing hospitals, reduce referral times, and enhance the efficiency and quality of healthcare delivery across the governorate.
The project forms part of the government’s broader efforts to strengthen healthcare capacity nationwide, in line with national development priorities aimed at ensuring equitable access to high-quality medical services.
