A key highlight of Muscat Nights 2026 is its symbolic character, Siraj, portrayed as an Omani child of light roaming the city’s skies. Siraj forms the narrative and visual identity of the season and stands out as a major attraction for families and visitors.
At Qurum Natural Park, a symphony of fountains, music and light transforms the park’s lake into an open-air theatre, while nighttime drone shows create moving light formations inspired by Muscat’s cultural and artistic identity. The park will also host Masha and the Bear interactive shows, offering children a story-driven family adventure centred on imagination, cooperation and discovery.
The Muscat Nights Circus, held daily at the Oman Automobile Association site, features international performers presenting acrobatics, aerial acts, balancing and sleight-of-hand shows. Advanced hologram technology adds a futuristic dimension, producing three-dimensional visual scenes. The circus zone also includes a dedicated children’s area with interactive educational activities, scientific role-play experiences, astronomy-themed presentations and creative art workshops.
Carnival zones across venues will feature family games, amusement rides, daily parades, and performances by local and international artists, alongside cultural, artistic and musical evenings that bring a continuous festive rhythm to the city.
Sports form a major pillar of Muscat Nights 2026, with a packed programme that includes cycling races, endurance challenges, shooting, martial arts, friendly football matches, bowling, billiards and snooker. The Muscat Nights Local and International Basketball (3×3) Championship will take place at Al Araimi Boulevard Mall from January 22 to 24, 2026, with teams participating from within and outside Oman.
Youth-focused action events will be hosted at the Oman Automobile Association and Wadi Al Khoudh, featuring professional car drifting demonstrations, zip-lining and interactive outdoor adventure activities designed to combine safety with excitement. Seeb Beach, in the Sur Al Hadid area, will host football and beach volleyball tournaments, along with morning fitness sessions.
A motorcycle exhibition showcasing classic and modern models will highlight safe riding practices and technical demonstrations, promoting traffic awareness among young people.
Cultural heritage takes centre stage through the Heritage Village, presented in a new contemporary format at Al Amerat Public Park and Qurum Natural Park. Visitors can experience live traditional crafts, folk arts, local cuisine and heritage-inspired architectural settings that reflect the depth of Omani identity.
Al Khuwair Square will host Oman Design Week, transforming the public space into an open-air exhibition of sculptures and interactive design works focused on innovation, urban beauty and sustainability.
