MUSCAT — A cold air mass will affect weather conditions across the Sultanate of Oman starting Tuesday, December 30, 2025 leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures in most governorates, increased wind activity, rough seas and reduced horizontal visibility, authorities said.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, the cold air intrusion will bring cooler conditions nationwide, with temperatures in the capital Muscat expected to fall to around 16 degrees Celsius, while temperatures in mountainous areas such as Jabal Shams could drop to about 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The authority warned that winds are likely to become more active during the period, contributing to rough sea conditions, particularly along coastal areas, and urged caution for marine activities.
