Muscat — Oman recorded its highest cumulative rainfall during the recent weather system at Jabal Harim in Musandam Governorate, where 150 millimetres of rain was measured, according to data released by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The rainfall was recorded by weather monitoring stations affiliated with the CAA between the early hours of Thursday and Friday morning, December 18–19, 2025.
Other areas in Musandam also experienced notable rainfall, with Bakhah recording 68.6 mm, Dhib 61.2 mm, Mahdhah 10.4 mm and Al Buraimi 8.8 mm, the authority said.

The CAA said the figures reflect cumulative rainfall totals during the period and highlight the intensity of the weather conditions affecting parts of northern Oman. Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious in mountainous areas and near wadis, as runoff levels may remain elevated following the heavy rains.
