MUSCAT : The service enables investors to transfer ownership remotely using secure authentication methods, eliminating the need for physical presence at service locations.
According to the Ministry, the upgraded service allows business owners to transfer commercial registration ownership securely and efficiently through remote authentication technologies, ensuring faster processing and an enhanced user experience.
Follow these online steps to transfer CR ownership:
- Log in to the Oman Business Platform.
- Go to the Commercial Registration tab, open “Manage a Business,” and select “CR Ownership “Transfer Application
- Choose the registration, enter the seller’s and buyer’s details and verify their accuracy.
- Complete the electronic signature (PKI) by all partners.
- Conduct the visual verification and present the ID card or passport of both the seller and the buyer.
- Both sides approve the terms and conditions.
- Pay the administrative fees and submit the application.
- The application is reviewed and approved by the Ministry’s verification officers.
- Pay the final fees, and the commercial registration is issued under the new owner’s name.
