MUSCAT – As part of its continuous awareness efforts, the ROP highlighted key safety measures that motorcyclists should follow, including wearing a helmet and proper safety clothing, exercising caution at intersections, remaining alert to other vehicles, and ensuring that motorcycle lights are functioning correctly.
The ROP also warned against a number of dangerous and illegal practices frequently associated with motorcycle accidents. These include riding without a valid licence, overtaking vehicles at high speed, performing stunts, using a mobile phone while riding, and operating a motorcycle without a licence plate.
The police emphasised that following safety guidelines is essential to preventing accidents and ensuring that motorcyclists reach their destinations safely.
