MUSCAT : As per the data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), associated gas production recorded a significant rise of 10.9 percent, reaching 10.600 billion cubic meters by the end of October 2025, up from 9.556 billion cubic meters in the corresponding period of 2024.
In contrast, non-associated gas production, including imports, declined by 1.7 percent, totalling 36.903 billion cubic meters – compared to 37.550 billion cubic meters in the same period last year.
Gas consumption patterns showed mixed trends. Industrial projects recorded a decrease of 3.5 percent, consuming 23.235 billion cubic meters of natural gas until October 2025, down from 24.082 billion cubic meters during the same period in 2024.


Conversely, consumption in power generation plants rose by 1.6 percent, reaching 13.126 billion cubic meters, compared to 12.922 billion cubic meters in the same period last year.
Gas used in oil fields, including industrial areas, Oman Mining Company, and Oman Cement, grew by 10.3 percent, reaching 10.907 billion cubic meters, up from 9.893 billion cubic meters in the same period of 2024.
Gas consumption in industrial areas (including Sultan Qaboos University and the Ministry of Defence), increased by 12.6 percent, reaching 0.235 billion cubic meters, compared to 0.208 billion cubic meters during the same period in 2024.
