MUSCAT – The municipality has raised concerns over the practice of improperly disposing of construction debris in residential neighbourhoods, warning that the issue poses risks to public health, harms the environment, negatively affects the overall appearance of the city, and disrupts municipal services.
In a statement issued, the municipality noted that the careless dumping of construction materials and fill waste leads to several negative impacts, including damaging the urban landscape and obstructing the movement of residents. Accumulated debris often results in the buildup of waste and the spread of unpleasant odours, while also attracting insects and rodents, creating potential health hazards.
