MUSCAT : In a statement, the Ministry highlighted that public engagement regarding the park demonstrates the community’s dedication to maintaining and developing urban green spaces. The Ministry assured that the park, which is government-owned, will retain its current area and continue to serve the public.
The Ministry also clarified that ongoing coordination with the Office of the Governor of Muscat and Muscat Municipality will not conflict with the continuation of events such as ‘Muscat Nights’ at the park.
It also explained that the park will form an integral part of the ‘Yamal’ city project, which aims to enhance the visitor experience and ensure sustainability. Planned developments include improving facilities within the park and surrounding areas, establishing pedestrian walkways and light transport connections to the new waterfront, and integrating the park with Sultan Haitham City through direct public transport accessible to all. The waterfront itself will serve as an extended public space, further enriching the community experience.
The Ministry stressed that Al Naseem Park will remain open to everyone, reflecting a sustainable and inclusive vision. It also urged the public to rely on official sources for information to maintain credibility and strengthen trust.
