MUSCAT – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced that its Coast Guard patrols, operating under the Dhofar Governorate Police Command, intercepted a vessel carrying five Yemeni nationals after it entered Omani territorial waters illegally.
According to the ROP, the individuals were found in possession of large quantities of narcotics and prohibited cigarettes, which they intended to smuggle and distribute.
The ROP also confirmed that legal procedures are currently underway against them.
