MANAMA — Upon His Majesty’s arrival at Sakhir Air Base, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led the officials in receiving and welcoming His Majesty and his accompanying delegation.

His Majesty the Sultan then proceeded between two rows of the Bahraini Royal Guard of Honour. He was greeted by senior Bahraini officials, including His Excellency Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf; His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments; His Excellency Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Information; His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate; His Excellency Ambassador Sayyid Faisal bin Harib Al-Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Bahrain; His Excellency Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman; along with several senior military officials.
His Royal Highness also greeted and shook hands with the delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan.

The Crown Prince then escorted His Majesty to the reception hall, where he extended a warm welcome, describing His Majesty as being in his second home. In response, His Majesty the Sultan expressed sincere gratitude for the generous hospitality and warm reception.

Following the reception, His Majesty the Sultan, accompanied by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, proceeded to Sakhir Palace.
