MUSCAT – The initiative aims to make essential services more accessible, reflecting ROP’s commitment to citizens’ convenience and satisfaction.
The new counter will operate under specific regulations, including:
• The Omani passport must have less than six months of validity remaining.
• Travelers must present a confirmed travel ticket; preliminary or unconfirmed reservations will not be accepted.
• Renewal services are limited to emergency and exceptional cases, supported by original documents such as medical reports, official memos, or urgent travel documentation.
• This airport service does not replace standard renewal procedures available at police service centers and is subject to the prescribed regulatory framework.
In a statement, ROP pointed out that the service is part of its ongoing efforts to stay close to the community, respond to citizens’ suggestions, and ensure their needs are met efficiently.
