MUSCAT – The event, organised by FununArts and the Youth Creative Hub, saw participation from over 1,200 young artists across more than 60 nationalities, celebrating creativity, unity, and cultural diversity under the theme “We Are One.”
ASAS 2025, the fifth edition of the globally acclaimed exhibition, not only showcased exceptional artistic talent but also made history by achieving two World Records: Largest International Student Art Exhibition and the Largest Canvas Painting on the Theme “We Are One.”
Students, including Emirati participants, Students of Determination, and international artists from India, Canada, Egypt, Oman, Congo, and Pakistan, united through art to convey a message of harmony and shared humanity.
Oman’s contribution to the event was significant, with Dr. Hafsa Banu mentoring local students alongside 35 other mentors, guiding them through the creative process and helping them gain confidence and artistic growth. Omani students celebrated remarkable success in the Student of Determination Category 6, with Abdullah Al Ghafri winning first place and Dorian Idris securing third place, both representing the CSE, Indian School Muscat.
Following the Dubai exhibition, Oman hosted a grand celebration and felicitation ceremony at Waterfront Mall on November 12, honouring participating students. The ceremony featured Dr. P. Mohammed Ali, Chancellor of the National University of Science and Technology, along with dignitaries from the Indian School Muscat and BNI Oman. 65 artworks by Omani students were displayed, and certificates were presented in recognition of their creativity and talent.
Dr. P. Mohammed Ali lauded the students’ artistic achievements and praised Dr. Hafsa Banu for her dedicated mentorship, highlighting the global significance of Omani students’ participation. Teachers, mentors, and volunteers were also recognised for their tireless efforts in making this international platform accessible to young artists from Oman.
