MUSCAT : The combined total assets of Islamic banks and windows climbed to RO 9.2 billion, representing 19.7% of the Sultanate’s total banking sector assets as of September 2025. This reflects a robust 12.2% year-on-year increase.
Financing activities also witnessed significant expansion. The total outstanding balance of financing granted by Islamic banking institutions rose by 10.8%, reaching approximately RO 7.4 billion.
Deposits maintained a similar upward trend, recording a 10.5% increase to stand at roughly RO 7.3 billion by the end of September 2025.
