MUSCAT – During the visit, His Majesty held high-level talks with His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain and senior Spanish officials, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment, renewable energy, tourism, and cultural exchange.
The discussions underscored the shared commitment of both countries to fostering sustainable development and enhancing collaboration across economic and diplomatic fronts. A number of memoranda of understanding were signed between Omani and Spanish entities, paving the way for new opportunities in the energy, logistics, and technology sectors.
His Majesty was accompanied on this visit by a high-ranking official delegation comprising: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; His Excellency Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Albusaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; His Excellency General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; His Excellency Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister, His Excellency Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; His Excellency Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority; His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; His Excellency Engineer Salim bin Nassir Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; and His Excellency Thamer bin Fayyaz bin Khalfan Al Alawi, Ambassador of Oman to Spain.
