Muscat — The Sultanate is gearing up for one of its most iconic sporting events, as the final round of the 55th His Majesty’s Hockey Cup 2025 begins at the Hockey Oman Stadium in Al Amerat from 2–10 November 2025.
Widely regarded as the nation’s most prestigious hockey championship, the tournament brings together top clubs from across Oman in a celebration of sporting excellence, tradition and national pride.
This year, 20 clubs competed for a spot in the final round, with eight teams advancing after strong performances in the preliminary stages.

In a bid to elevate the level of play, each club is permitted to field three foreign players, attracting several international hockey talents and raising the competitive intensity of this year’s edition.
To guarantee world-class officiating, the tournament will feature neutral international umpires from South Africa, Poland and Kenya, alongside an umpire manager from Pakistan.
Development programmes alongside the Cup
In line with its commitment to advancing the sport, Hockey Oman will host several professional development initiatives during the tournament, including:
• National Umpiring Course (2–5 November 2025)
• FIH Academy Level 3 Coaching Course, featuring 20 international coaches
• FIH/AHF “Road to Los Angeles 2028” High-Performance Umpiring Course
These programmes align with global hockey development pathways and underline Oman’s dedication to nurturing coaching, technical and officiating excellence for future generations.
Free entry for fans
Spectators are invited to attend all matches, with free entry throughout the tournament.
