Oman opens first-ever biodiesel fuel station

The new station goes beyond traditional fuel services, incorporating advanced digital systems, shaded truck bays, rest areas, a convenience store, and infrastructure supporting renewable fuel dispensing and seamless digital payments.

MUSCAT : The inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Ibtisam bint Ahmed Al Farooji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, alongside Mr. Ashraf bin Hamad Al Maamari, Group CEO of OQ, and Mr. Tariq bin Mohammed Al Junaydi, CEO of OOMCO.

Strategically located in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, the Duqm Gateway Station is designed as a fully integrated fuel and logistics hub catering to heavy transport, trucks, and fuel tankers. It provides comprehensive services including vehicle maintenance, oil changes, truck washing facilities, and modern overhead filling systems. With a pumping capacity of up to 750 liters per minute, it stands among the most efficient fueling facilities in the Sultanate.
