MUSCAT : The Arabian Stories (TAS) is set to make sporting history with the launch of the first-ever Inter-School Badminton Tournament, to be held on November 21 and 22, 2025, at the Kosmos Badminton Academy in Wadi Kabir.

Organised by The Arabian Stories in collaboration with the Morning Stars Badminton Club, the event marks a new milestone in TAS’s commitment to promoting youth engagement, teamwork, and healthy competition through sports.

With participation expected from more than 500 students representing schools across the Sultanate, the tournament is set to become one of the largest inter-school sporting events of the year — a vibrant showcase of Oman’s emerging badminton talent.

The competition will feature three main categories:
• Under-17 (born on or after November 20, 2008) — Boys’ & Girls’ Singles and Doubles
• Under-13 (born on or after November 20, 2012) — Boys’ & Girls’ Singles and Doubles
• Mixed Doubles — Open to any player under 17

Each school team will consist of 20 players, competing in nine matches per tie to determine the winners in their respective groups.

Medals will be awarded to the winners and runners-up in each category, while the overall champion school will lift the prestigious rolling championship trophy.

Beyond competition, the TAS Inter-School Badminton Tournament aims to foster community spirit and sportsmanship by bringing together students, coaches, teachers, and families under one roof.

“The Arabian Stories has always believed in empowering the youth of Oman — whether through storytelling, innovation, or sport,” said Nishad Padiyarath, Founder and CEO of The Arabian Stories. “This tournament is about more than winning matches; it’s about building confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love for sport.”

The event underscores TAS’s expanding footprint beyond media, as it continues to support national efforts to build a vibrant sporting culture and nurture grassroots talent across the Sultanate.
