KUWAIT : The Sultanate’s delegation was led by His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Nasser Al-Khasibi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs.
The meeting brought together senior officials from across the GCC to review and advance key legislative initiatives aimed at strengthening legal cooperation and harmonization among member states.
Discussions covered a range of topics, including the committee’s work strategy and the outcomes of expert meetings on the executive regulations of the unified system (law) for international transport between GCC countries. Participants also examined efforts by a dedicated working group to compile legislative principles issued by national legislative departments.

In addition, the committee reviewed a proposal by the GCC General Secretariat’s Assistant Secretariat for Legislative and Legal Affairs to enhance awareness of legislative policy and promote the unified legislative drafting guide for GCC regulations. The use of artificial intelligence in legislative work also featured prominently in the discussions, signaling the bloc’s intent to modernize its legal processes.
