Muscat: Leading Omani law firm, Al Maamary, Al Abri & Co. (MAQ Legal) has won Oman Law Firm of the Year, and managing partner, Asad Qayyum, Oman Lawyer of the Year, at the IFLR Middle East Awards 2025. MAQ Legal also secured the prestigious Impact Deal of the Year accolade for its role as sole Oman law counsel advising OQEP and its banks on OQEP’s record-breaking US$8.1 billion IPO on the Muscat Stock Exchange. The team was also shortlisted for Islamic Finance Law Firm of the Year for the entire Middle East.

The awards ceremony took place at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah in Dubai on 22 October 2025.
