MUSCAT — His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth delivered a heartfelt message on the occasion of Omani Youth Day, observed annually on October 26, affirming that the day represents a renewed expression of trust in the nation’s youth and their vital role in shaping Oman’s present and future.

His Highness said the celebration is “not merely a continuation in time, but a reflection of deep belonging, sustainable giving, and renewed faith in the nation and its values.” He described it as a thread that connects the past that laid the foundations, the present that builds, and the future that Oman aspires to achieve.

Underscoring the leadership’s vision, His Highness noted that His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has firmly believed that youth are the cornerstone of the renewed renaissance and its inexhaustible energy. From this conviction, he added, emerged numerous programs and initiatives designed to empower young people, nurture creativity and innovation, and ensure their meaningful participation in shaping the nation’s future.

His Highness praised Omani youth for proving worthy of this trust across diverse fields from science, knowledge, and technology to arts, sports, and volunteerism carrying Oman’s flag with pride and embodying perseverance, optimism, and responsibility.

“The true essence of empowerment,” His Highness emphasized, “lies in self-belief, continuous work, and the pursuit of excellence. Be faithful in your endeavors, strive to keep Oman’s name high in every field, and remember that what you create today in thought, innovation, and dedication is the foundation of the nation’s future and its renewed progress.”
