Oman’s CPA and UTAS sign cooperation programme to promote consumer awareness and education

MUSCAT – The agreement was signed by His Excellency Dr. Salim Ali Salim Al Hikmani, on behalf of the Consumer Protection Authority, and His Excellency Dr. Saeed Mohammed Saeed Al-Rubaie, representing the University of Technology and Applied Sciences.


This cooperation represents a strategic step toward integrating academic and institutional efforts to build a more conscious and responsible consumer society. It reflects both institutions’ commitment to establishing fruitful partnerships in areas of mutual benefit and to reinforcing joint institutional work in line with applicable laws and regulations.


The programme aims to exchange expertise and knowledge, implement joint initiatives, and provide opportunities for students and researchers to participate in projects that enhance consumer awareness and protect consumer rights.


Furthermore, the signing of this program underscores the commitment of both the CPA and UTAS to advancing the goals of Oman Vision 2040, particularly in enhancing institutional integration, building a knowledge-based economy, empowering national competencies, and strengthening governance and partnership in sustainable development.
