MUSCAT – Calling for a comprehensive cleanliness system that enhances quality of life, the Municipality stated: “Improper waste disposal affects the city’s cleanliness and overall image. Let’s work together to support a public cleanliness system built on a comprehensive urban vision for a cleaner, more sustainable Muscat.”
Key municipal responsibilities include:
• Waste collection and transportation in the wilayats of Muscat
• Enhancing service efficiency and improving field operations
• Applying advanced systems for waste collection and transportation
• Advancing the public cleanliness framework as part of an integrated urban vision
Recognising that maintaining a clean city cannot be achieved by government efforts alone, Muscat Municipality is also focusing on increasing community awareness. Residents are urged to:
• Dispose of your waste only in designated bins
• Seal your trash bags tightly before disposal
• Avoid leaving waste in front of your home or in public areas
“Muscat’s cleanliness is a shared responsibility,” the Municipality reiterated, pointing out that the city’s urban appearance depends on the behaviours of its residents. “A well-maintained urban landscape reflects the community’s strong civic sense; a clean environment means cleaner air and better health,” it stated.
