MUSCAT — The Arabian Stories (TAS) is set to make sporting history with the launch of its first-ever Inter-School Badminton Tournament, taking place on November 21 and 22 at the Kosmos Badminton Academy in Wadi Kabir.
The event presented in collaboration with the Morning Stars Badminton Club marks TAS’s latest initiative to promote youth engagement, teamwork, and fitness through competitive sport. With participation expected from more than 500 students across schools in the Sultanate, the tournament promises to be a vibrant showcase of emerging badminton talent.
Contestants will compete across three categories:
• Under-17 (born on or after November 20, 2008) – boys’ & girls’ singles and doubles
• Under-13 (born on or after November 20, 2012) – boys’ & girls’ singles and doubles
• Mixed Doubles – open to any player under 17

Each school team will comprise 20 players, competing in nine matches per tie to determine winners in their respective groups.
The tournament will award medals for winners and runners-up, along with an ever-rolling championship trophy for the overall champion team.
By bringing together students, coaches, teachers, and families, The Arabian Stories aims to celebrate not just competition but also community spirit reinforcing its growing role in empowering youth and building Oman’s sporting culture from the grassroots up.
